Now you can get your Burberry and your Botox injections, your Louis Vuitton and your laser hair removal, your Prada and your peel, all at the swanky Americana Manhasset shopping center, where tucked upstairs above some of the toniest stores around, the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group has opened a new, medi–spa.
The space, a serene study in celadon and gold, with oversized patient chairs, soft lighting and state-of-the art equipment for non-invasive treatments is welcoming and private.
For people who realllly like one-stop shopping, well sorry to say, it won’t be about getting a facelift and then heading to Fendi, though you’ll be able to book a consultation with one of eight surgeons from the group who will be cycling through the place. The practice, based in Garden City, has six locations and was founded in 1948. It is one of the oldest and largest in the United States. This is the group’s second medi-spa.
There was a big, opening hub-bub on Wednesday, as New York State Sen. Craig Johnson and other North Hempstead officials joined LIPSG president Dr. Kaveh Alizadeh in a ribbon cutting ceremony in front of the new medi-spa’s entrance.
Both wielded oversized scissors to perform the deed, though Alizadeh’s didn’t really work. “I should know how to cut,” the plastic surgeon quipped. “Get him a knife or a scalpel,” called someone from the small crowd.
LIPSG's new digs are located at 2110 Northern Blvd, Suite 210, over Banana Republic. To make an appointment, call 516-439-5500.
