For 31 years, brothers Afshin, 55, and David Haghani, 52, have been selling fashionable women’s clothes at their store, Gallery Couture in Manhasset. Now, they’re focusing their stylish chops on a new set of customers: men.

Their new store, Loop Men, is conveniently located next to their existing women’s location. Afshin has built a reputation for his upbeat and energetic reels on social media, heralding new merchandise arriving at the store. “Besides women being interested in the clothes I was showing them, they wanted to know where I got my clothes,” explains the self-proclaimed clotheshorse. “A flash went off," he says. "And the more we talked to people, the more excited we became. Some wives came out and said, ‘my husband needs a makeover.’ So, we said, 'we’re ready.’”

As far as the freshly renovated space goes, “There’s an immediate 'wow' factor. It’s masculine with its dark wood and slate floors, but it’s also homey like walking into someone’s living room,” says Afshin.

Added bonus? A top-shelf tequila bar at the back of the store.

The brothers themselves are the fashion muses here, though they each dress in distinctly different ways. David’s look is, “Luxe casual. It’s jeans and a cashmere crew neck with sneakers, a leather jacket, a great-fitting chino with a white tee shirt and a cashmere hoodie,” explains his big brother. About himself, he uses the Italian word "sprezzatura" which means “studied carelessness.” Always dapper, he doesn’t look a bit careless in his Italian tailored blazers, elegantly wrapped scarves, neat cargoes and chukka boots.

To that end, the inventory straddles the divide between elevated streetwear and more elegant apparel — there are European brands and jeans galore.

Afshin has already learned a few things about his customers: their likes, dislikes and insecurities. But the mission of the store is to stave off any insecurity. “We create an outfit, itemize it and put it in their phones, so they can see it later,” explains Afshin. “It’s a matter of showing them how to create different looks with their wardrobes.”

Prices run from $70 for a high-quality T-shirt to $1,300 for a supple, suede jacket.

Loop Men is located at 343 Plandome Road in Manhasset. The shop is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays; 516-627-5333.
