Ahhh, such clever clothes from Australian designer Michael Angel, who really knows how to work a digital print.

These wild patterns sometimes resembled Rorschach tests (our seatmate saw a giant hand, we thought it was a butterfly – hmmm). Many ensembles had a quirky balance, such as a silky printed dress topped by a stiff, man-tailored collar.  And all the models wore manly black oxfords – dressed up or not.

Most interesting though, were Angel’s artful layers – sheer, asymmetrical panels that screened sequins or vibrant prints.  Truly a case of hide and chic.
