Milly: Upper crust meets boho

At Milly, designer Michelle Smith, offered her loyal customers at least two ways to go: Uptown chic – a midnight/gold peacoat with a mohair plaid skirt, an eggplant blazer topping brown corduroy culottes -- or classy bohemian – a sparkly plum maxi skirt topped by a gray fisherman’s sweater (loved this) or a silky ruffled dress in emerald green. The color palette was riotous – a happy break from the season’s pales and neutrals, though some might argue it was a bit too strong with vivid brights popping out everywhere.
Front rower Kristin Chenoweth fell deeply in love at the show: with a black lace confection with nipped waist. “It’s very me,” she said. And we have a feeling Milly followers will be thinking the same way about a lot of the looks.
