The wow factor at Naeem Khan was, simply put, over the top. Expected here are blinged out dresses and gowns with an Indian flavor. Khan wardrobes celebs and is a favorite of Michelle Obama, who has donned his confections for state dinners.

So, in a novel twist, he put out … daywear … beautifully tailored separates and dresses, some with big palm frond graphics. Better even was the navy and white mosaic leather applique that read like tile and turned up on slim cotton pants and a jacket or two.

And his signature uber-embellished caftans weren't the only looks that turned heads. A series of sunset printed gowns – fiery ombre jobs of orange and red that were showstoppers. On the softer side, sunflower prints, a coral wrap front gown with allover metallic beading and a marigold ballgown topped by a white beaded bodice. Wow.
