Prabal Gurung knows how to spin a tale, and did just that – beautifully – at his Saturday afternoon runway show called “Uncursed.”

If you’ve ever watched a vampire show – like “True Blood” – you know  those creatures of the night are seductively outfitted and extraordinarily well dressed, and that’s part of their power.

Enter Prabal’s sizzling girls in black, with slashes of blue eye shadow and long, dark straight hair bluntly cut at the edges.

One such model in a swaying cape, patent-leather darted tank, molded neoprene pants and Philip Treacy hat that was vaguely papal, opened the story.

This was followed by a series of luxe black looks that included metallic brocade varsity jackets, and perhaps the sexiest black dresses –  some with sheer panels, many highly embellished – we’ve seen to date. Pretty, for sure, but very edgy.

The black section morphed into black and opalescent ultramarine combos, followed by an imaginative cobalt then yellow steer head and rose pattern (uh, yeah, we said steer head) done up on sweaters, blazers, pants and dresses. Ahhh, and as the curse is lifted, it's onto stunners in the gold and white department…with light-haired models...sort of a “breaking dawn,” moment.

Hey, Sookie.
