Project Prom 2014: The final dresses

1. The round off
A sapphire blue gown with ornate silver embroidery, chunky blue and clear gemstones and a high slit in the front, by Elegante at Outrageous Boutique, Plainview.

2. The split
A regal aqua halter dress that features a jazzy crystal embellished bodice, by Morrell Maxie at Sugarplum, Garden City.

3. The back flip
A fiery coral one-shoulder gown with a netted back dotted with hundreds of sparkly crystals, by La Femme at Estelle's Dressy Dresses, Farmingdale.

In 2014, Katherine Grandazza tried on some 60 dresses while shopping for the three prom dresses Newsday readers would choose from. This slinky blue number from Sugar Plum in Garden City looked great, but didn't make the final cut.
