As a stylist, Rachel Zoe knows how to make her clients look effortlessly cool, and she went for the same effect with her spring 2013 line.

Zoe paired menswear-inspired suits with flowing blouses, striped trousers with leather blazers and maxi-dresses with black straw hats for a serious city-girl-on-holiday look.

Structured silhouettes were mixed with long, loose knits and silk caftans belted at the waist to accentuate the figure and keep the look put together. Some looks were belted with a tiny purse, sort of the fanny pack's more stylish cousin.

The color palette started in black and white and went on to include seasonal tangerines, turquoise, salmon and beige. Sprinkled in between were sequin dresses — both short-sleeved shift dresses and maxis — and, of course, the occasional leopard print.
