Rihanna, Nicki Minaj release fashion lines
Out of stock. Three simple words. Yet to fashionistas you might as well say, "Sorry, your card's been declined." It's like Kryptonite to Superman, or holy water to any self-respecting demon. Out of stock? OUT OF STOCK??!!
How is that possible?
Well, if you've logged on to Target.com lately, you know it's very possible. Target once again hit the jackpot with its latest designer mini collection -- the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target line, a selection of women's and men's apparel, shoes, bags and more, which hit stores and the website Sept. 15. Key items sold out within hours.
But Target's not the only game in town. On Sept. 27, Kohl's launches the Catherine Malandrino for DesigNation line (an affordable set of dramatic knits, cocktail dresses and sportswear from the upscale French designer), and the week before that New York & Company released its hotly anticipated collaboration with actress Eva Mendes.
"I really hope that women know how personal this is to me," says Mendes in a promotional video on YouTube. "It feels like I'm sharing my closet with women."
Need more? Rihanna's second collab with Brit label River Island dropped this month, as did In Style editor Hal Rubenstein's line at HSN.com. Adam Levine and Nicki Minaj lines debut at Kmart on Oct. 1, and French designer Isabel Marant's collection for H&M arrives Nov. 14.
