Ronson's prairie chic companion
There’s an innocence and sweetness to Charlotte Ronson’s spring collection that, after months and months of a dark, grim economy, may be just what shoppers need. A chance to start fresh. So, there were lots of easy, loose-fit slip dresses and asymmetrical tiered ruffle skirts in colorful floral prints, layered with more modern pieces: slouchy, oversized gray sweatshirts, hoodies, and a great, tough-gal, taupe leather motorcycle jacket with zip-off sleeves. Our fave: a loooong chambray button-front dress. The head-to-toe finish: slouchy knit caps, and thick socks worn with granny boots. In other hands, this might look way too “Little House on the Prairie,” but Ronson somehow keeps it modern and not too treacly sweet.
