Shop for jewelry, empower African women at Courage b

Formed after the Rwanda genocide in 1994, Same Sky is a fair trade jewelry company based in Africa that provides poverty stricken women in Rwanda and Zambia with the entrepreneurial skills they need to lead successful lives. The women are trained to crotchet and uses hand blown glass beads to make bracelets and necklaces.
The company has partnered with chic Hamptons boutique Courage b to sell handmade jewelry and raise money to help these impoverished African women.
Now through August 3, Courage b will donate 15 percent of all proceeds from their online store as well as profits from their Southampton boutique to Same Sky. For online purchases use promo code SAMESKY.
Same Sky will present their latest summer resort collection from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 during a trunk show and cocktail party at Courage b's East Hampton store, 78 Main St.
