Ok, I confess I’m addicted to stretch. Some of my fashion-forward friends think I’m the devil for wearing pants with elastic waistbands, but that’s not what I’m talking about here.

I’m talking jewelry, specifically bracelets. I won’t even look at one these days if it comes with a fussy clasp that only a contortionist could deal with. Stretch bracelets have saved me hours.

And now, there’s a stretch watch. It comes from Danish brand Skagen, known for it’s striking, clean designs and affordable prices. “Superclean” is how company founder Charlotte Jost described the line during a recent visit to Manhattan to promote the line. (Interesting tidbit from my vist with Jost and her partner/husband Henrik--when they started the brand they lived in Centerport. Now they live in Reno.)

Anyway, the stretch watches come in gold, silver or rose gold tones with crystal-studded faces ($125 for the silver; $135 for the gold). Look for them at select Macy’s stores and macys.com. And if you’re a fan of the line, hold on in the next few months for expansions into jewelry--some really fab stack rings--and sunglasses.
