Black Friday 2014 store opening timeline

Shoppers, start the frenzy. Yes, it is time to put on your running shoes and trot out to the stores. There are bargains to be had, especially if you know where to go. They don't call them doorbusters for no reason. So, use this list to plan your strategy for the most savings.

THANKSGIVING DAY

6 a.m.

Kmart opens with doorbusters until 5 p.m. including buy-one-get-one for $1 on all footwear and 50 percent off airblown holiday scenes.

4 p.m.

Old Navy opens with 50 percent off everything in the store until midnight Friday.

5 p.m.

Best Buy opens with $199.99 Panasonic 50-inch LED 1080p HDTVs. Tickets for hot items will be handed out up to two hours before stores open. J.C. Penney opens with $10 off a $10 or more purchase coupons plus $20 bonus when you spend $75 or more until 1 p.m. Black Friday. Toys R Us opens.

6 p.m.

Walmart opens with first round of deals including $4.88 board games, kids bikes from $19 and $199 Dyson D3 vacuum.

Target opens with $499 Apple iPad Air 2 16GB (plus $140 gift card) and $249 iPad Mini 16GB (plus $80 giftcard) until 7 p.m.

Kohl's opens with doorbusters through 1 p.m. Friday such as $6.99 select Barbies and $15 Kohl's cash for every $50 spent.

Roosevelt Field Mall opens -- first 100 people at guest services receive a free tote bag.

Smithaven, Westfield South Shore and Broadway malls open.

Tanger Outlets Deer Park and Riverhead open with deals such as 50-75 percent off everything at the Gap Factory Store.

7 p.m.

Second round of doorbusters run at Kmart until 3 a.m. -- $89.99 Craftsman 220-piece mechanic's tool kit, anyone?

8 p.m.

Walmart starts new round of discounts: $69 Fitbit Flex wristband, $8.88 SkullCandy headphones.

Midnight

Broadway and Westfield South Shore malls close.

FRIDAY

1 a.m.

Best Buy, Roosevelt Field and Smithaven Mall close.

2 a.m.

Michaels, Tanger Outlets Deer Park and Riverhead close.

5 a.m.

Home Depot opens with $679 LG front-load washer (white) or electric dryer with steam.

Lowe's Home Improvement opens with deals including a $39.98 12-gallon shop vac and 10-foot inflatable Santa for $59.

6 a.m.

Walmart offers new round of discounts: 30 percent off artificial Christmas trees and Christmas lights, $35 LG Blu-ray disc player.

Kmart starts new doorbusters until noon: $2.99 fleece throws, buy-one-get-one free on all WWE and Fisher Price Laugh and Learn toys.

Target runs new round of doorbusters until noon including 10 percent off Target gift cards.

PC Richard & Son opens with deals like a $998.91 Samsung 55-inch Class 3D-ready LED HDTV Smart TV with built-in Wi-Fi.

Roosevelt Field and many other malls, including Tanger Outlets, reopen.

7 a.m.

Walt Whitman Shops open.

8 a.m.

Best Buy reopens.

10 a.m.

Americana Manhasset opens.

1 p.m.

Doorbusters end at Kohl's, as do J.C. Penney coupon giveaways.

9 p.m.

Home Depot, Lowe's Home Improvement stores close.

10 p.m.:

Most malls and outlets close, as well as Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy and Michaels.

11 p.m.:

Target, PC Richard & Son and Toys R Us close.

Midnight:

Old Navy and Macy's close.
