Tommy celebrates 25 years
Scores of male models in khakis and navy blazers lined the walkway leading to Lincoln Center’s Metropolitan Opera House Sunday night, where Tommy Hilfiger hosted his 25th anniversary party, a blow-out, star-packed event — Jennifer Lopez, Bradley Cooper, Neil Patrick Harris, Ed Westwick, “Mad Men’s” Christina Hendricks, “Sex and the City’s” Jason Lewis, Jessica Szohr and b-ball’s Amare Stoudemire (all 6-foot-10 of him, towering over the diminutive Hilfiger) — with a live performance by The Strokes.
“It’s my dream since I was a little boy, to play…at the opera,” said Strokes vocalist Julian Casablancas. Serious? Or ironic? Hard to say. The place to be was on the terrace overlooking Lincoln Center’s fountain, where Harris and partner David Burtka (expecting twins this fall) hung out. And the adorable Hendricks chatted with friends. The topic of designers came up. Hilfiger, of course, is a fave. And Carolina Herrera. “Ohhh, all those clothes,” Hendricks said. “It’s so hard to choose.”
