We love a gal who sticks to her guns, even though everybody’s doing something else. Such is the case with Tracy Reese, who showed a happy, colorful, downright pretty collection at the tents on Sunday afternoon in the midst of a season where black, aggressive clothes have ruled the runway.

In this optimistic collection, intended, said Reese in program notes, as “colorful, confident attire for navigating the urban landscape,” find a solid gold trench coat to brighten any rainy day. For chillier moments, a cushy yellow bathrobe-style coat embellished with fur. There were Saturday-night tops galore, such as a silken sleeveless cocoon in tomato red, and a lime-green job heavily embellished. Sprightly prints abounded here – some leafy, some florals - one standout with a turquoise ground.  And the color story went on and on – juniper green, violet, lemon – a delight.

Sometimes, a blast of color  is just what the doctor ordered for winter doldrums. And Reese delivered.
