Halloween weekend events on Long Island
There's more to do on Halloween than trick-or-treating. You can climb a haunted treehouse, visit a firehouse filled with ghouls, listen to a reading of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" or get spooked at a haunted car wash.
"Visitors stay in their cars as Frankenstein along with costumed ghouls and zombies scare them multiple times as they're waiting on line to go through the Tunnel of Terror to have their car washed," says John Grefe, regional manager of Washville in Amityville.
A pop-up dining experience in Brentwood and Patchogue features a stage performance by the Salem Sisters based on the characters from the movie "Hocus Pocus."
"Our dinner guests experience a not-so-scary performance" says Michael Marra, president of Unique Social Events. "We encourage guests to brings their cameras for photos with the colorful sisters after the performance."

Experience horrors and frights at three new haunted attractions: Wasteland (where radiation-poisoned survivors are hunting outsiders), Dark Matter (where a parasitic alien is on the loose) and The Pharaoh's Curse (where a pharaoh’s spirit is awakened and the dead are strolling the tomb).
