If you're looking for an easy way to remember your anniversary, then you might want to think about getting hitched this December.
December 13, 2014--or 12/13/14--falls on a Saturday this year, and is the last chronological date we will have this century. Last year, brides and grooms weren't so lucky. The chronological date, 11/12/13, fell on a Tuesday. An estimated 2,000 couples said "I do" regardless of the fact that their celebration would be in the middle of the work week, but because this year's date falls on a weekend, the number of weddings estimated to occur has skyrocketed.
According to David's Bridal, there are 11,000 couples slated to tie the knot on this iconic date, which is a 178.5 percent increase over the same Saturday last year, 12/14/13.
But apart from its being a unique anniversary date, is there any other reason why a couple would choose this date? A representative from David's Bridal says that "many couples believe that the sequential numerology is good luck. Some couples are even going one step further and getting married at 3 p.m., so their anniversary will be 12/13/14 at 15 hours (military time)."
You could of course wait 89 more years to tie the knot. "The next true iconic date will be January 2, 2103 (01/02/03). Anytime numbers align, it excites people who are into numerology," says the David's Bridal representative.
