It's National Mosquito Control Awareness Week

... and there's no time like the present to talk about prevention -- the best means of  mosquito control known to man.

It's very likely you have some standing water on your property, maybe in a tire swing, pot saucer, clogged gutter or overturned trash can lid. Drain it all regularly to discourage mosquito breeding. And remember, you can't really blame your mosquito problem on your neighbors; most mosquitoes don't travel beyond 100 square feet, so your mosquitoes actually are YOUR mosquitoes.
