Shalom TV is carrying Jewish holiday services in English on cable TV, with Hebrew prayers and transliteration shown onscreen. This free Video On Demand service allows viewers to watch taped "highlights" of services conducted last year at Chavurat Aytz Chayim in Stamford, Conn. Locally, go to Cablevision (channel 502, click on the news and world folder) and Verizon (channel 900, click on demand, then browse all, then free, then people and culture). Rosh Hashanah services will be shown Sept. 5-11 and Yom Kippur, Sept. 12-18. Rabbi Mark S. Golub, Shalom TV president/ CEO, who conducted the services, says he hopes they "will resonate with people across the Jewish spectrum." You can also see services online, Sept. 8-10 and 17-18, on shalomtv.com.
