Anniversaries: Joy and Al Abbato of Wading River, 40 years

Joy and Al Abbato, of Wading River, were wed Feb. 18, 1984, at the Christ King Roman Catholic Church in Commack. They are both retired from the Rocky Point school district, where they met 40 years ago. Joy was a third-grade teacher and Al was special education coordinator. They have two children and four grandchildren. They will be celebrating with a Caribbean cruise and a trip to Europe.
