Kevin James will get buddy-buddy with Vince Vaughn

THE NEWS The Setauket-raised comic is in negotiations to star opposite Vince Vaughn in Universal's untitled Ron Howard project, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
THE DEAL The film, which Howard is directing, follows a man (Vaughn) who learns that his best friend's wife is cheating and must then navigate treacherous waters to decide what do with that knowledge. James is playing the best friend.
NEXT James next stars in Sony's all-star comedy "Grown Ups" and then follows up with "Zoo Keeper," a solo comedy that features talking animals.
WHO Owen Wilson
THE NEWS He's set to join the new Woody Allen movie scheduled to shoot this summer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
THE DEAL As with all the director's work, Allen is keeping the story line and characters hush-hush. In November, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, France's first lady, mentioned that Allen had seduced her into taking a role in the film, though the writer-director's camp would not confirm. Wilson most recently voiced a supporting role in Wes Anderson's animated "Fantastic Mr. Fox."
NEXT Beyond that, Wilson will appear in two December releases: James L. Brooks' untitled project for Sony and the "Meet the Fockers" sequel coming from Universal.
