Have you ever butt dialed someone? Butt dialing is something that happens when your phone is in your pocket and you accidentally call someone. Four kids in my class told me that they have butt dialed someone and six other kids said they received one of those calls. It's happened to me at least three times.

My dad teaches firefighters and policemen. One day I got a call from him on the house phone. I was calling his name, but he couldn't hear me. I thought he was talking to me until I heard the students laughing.

My mom was at the doctor when she got a call. It was from my brother and the music was blasting. When she got home she demanded to know why he was blasting his music into the phone. She received three calls from him while waiting for the doctor. He had his iPod and phone in the same pocket.

Then it was my turn. My phone was on mute, and I was sitting at dinner with my family talking about our day. When I finished eating I pulled my phone out of my pocket and heard my cousin screaming at me! I had butt dialed him.

Lesson: If you don't want people to hear your business by accident, lock your keypad!

Book review: 'Flat Broke'

The novel "Flat Broke" by Gary Paulsen (Random House Kids) is a very funny book. In this companion to "Liar, Liar," Kevin Spencer is trying to become filthy rich at the age of 14. Because of his lying, his parents aren't giving him his allowance and, well, he's just flat broke. He decides to hold poker games at his aunt's house. He gets half the winnings and half the money people lose. Kevin is getting money by the second. Since his sister is talented at doing makeup and hair, Kevin tells her that he can make appointments for her and get some of her profits. His friend JonPaul helps him by selling cookies at college. After taking advantage of everyone, his plans go downhill. Kevin learns his lesson to not take advantage of people. I really enjoyed this book. It's for kids 11 and older.

Game review: Whoowasit?

The game Whoowasit? (Ravenburger) is awesome and I couldn't stop playing it. I played with three friends, and it worked out perfectly. The object of the game is to have players work together to uncover clues and defeat the evil wizard. You need to remember clues and then make moves that will lead you to victory. It does take some time to figure out how to play, and you should read all the instructions before playing.

RATING: 41/2 our of 5
