Kidsday: Cookies to make you smile
We were very lucky to be able to try the holiday smiley face cookies from Eat'n Park in Pennsylvania. They were shaped like Christmas trees with thick green icing and a cute smiley face. We decided to share them with the rest of the 5th- graders at our school and ask them what they thought about them. These are our results:
81 students said they like the cookies
19 students said they didn't like the cookies
We asked the fifth-graders why they like the cookies, and they told us that the cookie was nice and soft, it had a unique flavor, and the icing was sweet and delicious. The students who didn't like the cookies said they were too sweet and that the cookie was bland. We think that you should try the smiley-face cookies. They just might make you smile!
A girl of many hats
I was 6 years old when I got my first hat. It was a black velvet hat, and I wore it everywhere. I found out that I really love hats, and I tried to start my own fad by wearing a different hat every day to match whatever outfit that I was wearing. This way, I'm fashionable and I make my own personal style. I have a total of 35 hats so far. I'm always adding to my collection. I'm very fussy! I don't just buy any hat. My favorite hat is a zebra-striped one with sparkles. Someone touched it and said that she really liked it. That makes it so special to me. I think I will always be a hat lover!
