Kidsday: Disney's 'Radio Rebel'
Debby Ryan stars as Tara Adams in the new Disney hit, "Radio Rebel." This original Disney movie is about mean girls, crushes, and life in high school.
Tara Adams is a shy and quiet girl in her normal teenage life. As the podcaster Radio Rebel, Tara encourages other students to be themselves and take risks.
When the high school principal threatens to cancel the prom unless the identity of Radio Rebel is revealed, problems begin for Tara.
Anyone 8 or older will enjoy the many twists and turn of this new hit, because everyone has a bit of radio rebel in them. "Radio Rebel's" messages to be yourself, embrace your awesomeness, and to take risks are great lessons for any student. This movie premieres tonight at 8 on Disney.

Documentary review: 'Racing Dreams'
We were able to watch an advance screening of the new documentary film "Racing Dreams." The kids in the movie were born to race. And race they do! They race go-karts that can reach speeds up to 70 miles per hour. It was cool watching kids race because they are kids and not allowed to drive.
This movie is appropriate for kids and adults. It is a family movie about two boys and a girl who grow up racing. It describes what it takes to be a race car driver and what goes into it on a daily basis. We watched all three kids race in either the senior or junior class. Classmate Emily Young said, "It's fun to go on the wild side sometimes. You have to go out there, be yourself and still have fun and hopefully win the next race."
Another classmate, Alanah Amarando, said, "It showed that when you're little, you can do what you want to do."
We all agree that "Racing Dreams" is a must-see movie.
"Racing Dreams" airs Sunday, Feb. 26, at 10:30 p.m. on Ch. 13
