Kidsday: Loving the Airwalk skateboard
The Airwalk skateboard is fun to ride. At first we thought that it was ridiculous that a shoe company was making skateboards, but Airwalk has proved us wrong.
It may look like a regular skateboard, but believe us when we tell you that it will be one of the smoothest rides of your life. Usually you have to push at least three or four times to get your board moving fast enough to ride. But, from experience, you only need to push once or twice. This board reacts to your body very quickly and easily gives you the ability to make U-turns.
These boards are stylish, too. The aerodynamic shape lets you move through wind easily. If you like a board that is fast, easy and fun to ride, this is the board for you.
We loved riding them because they are much easier to ride then other skateboards.
As with anything new, we had a little trouble riding them at first, but not for long. We like riding these skateboards so much.
The boards we tested were $90 and $100, but there are less expensive models. Visit the website: airwalk.com/shopRATING: 5 of 5
Game review: SpongeBob's Surf & Skate
As we played the new video game SpongeBob's Surf & Skate Roadtrip (THQ for the Xbox 360 Kinect), we realized that it was hard to understand at first. We couldn't believe that as 13-year-olds we couldn't figure out how to control the surfboard.
In the beginning, you choose to play as either SpongeBob or Patrick. Then you get to choose their bathing suits and where they are going to surf or skate. You get to choose their surfboard and their skateboard. After that step, they show you how to direct your boards all by your footstep. That would be one of the hardest steps. You have to stand like you're on a skate or surfboard and point your front foot in the direction you want to go. If it is not in the right direction, it will not let you go on to the next step.
This video game was a lot of fun. It is for all ages, but we think it would be fit mostly for ages 6 to 8 because they're more willing to sit there and figure it out.
We recommend this game to anyone who loves SpongeBob. So grab your board and go Spongewild!
