Did you know that every year there is a race to the top of the Empire State Building, and the fastest time was 9 minutes? Isn't that amazing! Also, did you know that the Empire State Building has more than 6,000 windows? Superman is the biggest float to ever be in the Macy's Day Parade! We learned all of this and so much more on a CitySights NY bus tour.

We got to ride on the top of an open-air, double-decker bus -- which actually was covered the day we went because it was cloudy and they thought it might rain. CitySights NY's visitor center is in the lobby of Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, right in the heart of Manhattan (234 W. 42nd St., Times Square). There are tours for everyone. We went on the Downtown Tour, but there is also an Uptown and Harlem Tour, a Night Tour, a Museum of the City of New York Tour, A CitySightseeing Midtown Cruise and a Brooklyn Tour. They also have deals on Broadway show tickets, plus many different day trips. The prices vary, depending on which package you take, but they start as low as $15 a person.

The best part of our tour was that you could get on and off the bus at any stop you wanted so you could sightsee, shop, eat or do whatever you wanted. You didn't have to wait more than 15 minutes to get on another bus. Each bus has a tour guide who would tell you interesting facts about the city and the areas you were driving through. We're sure if you have been in Manhattan, you have seen these buses all over. There were plenty of people to help you, answer any questions you had and give you lots of information.

So take a tour! For more, visit citysightsny.com or call 212-812-2700.

Zenday's all dolled up

Rocky Blue is a character from the Disney show "Shake It Up," played by the actress Zendaya Coleman. She is one of my favorite characters because she is funny and sarcastic. She is now also a fashion doll: Disney's V.I.P. "Shake It Up" Rocky Blue doll can pose more than 40 ways. Rocky's four best friends, Cece, Sharpay, Alex and Hannah, also have their own dolls. You would think there's not much to do with the doll, but there is. You can comb her hair or even pretend like she lives in a mansion. She's awesome! Rocky even signed the box. I love the doll. I think it is great for kids who watch the show.
