July Fourth events guide: Long Island fairs, fireworks and more
Celebrate July Fourth with a salute to the holiday with a hometown parade, fireworks spectacular, a classic concert or a patriotic run for a good cause. With the holiday falling on a Friday, you'll have the entire weekend to celebrate.
Here's our guide to local events that will have you sporting red, white and blue.

July 1-5: Greenport Fireman's Carnival
Polo Grounds on Moores Lane, Greenport
The annual summer carnival features rides, food and treats for sale, games and prizes.

July 3: TD Bank’s Celebrate America

July 4: The Jovia Financial Credit Union 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at Jones Beach State Park
Jones Beach State Park, 2400 Ocean Pkwy., Wantagh
Make your way to the beach for a night of fireworks and sing-along anthems like "Defying Gravity," "Levitating," "Hot to Go," and more during the annual event beginning at 9:30 p.m. Catch patriotic favorites like "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue," "America" and "God Bless the USA." Radio stations WALK 97.5 and KJOY 98.3 will simulcast music during the presentation.

July 4-6: Celebrate Fourth of July at Harbes Family Farm

Admission to the Barnyard Adventure includes access to goat mountain slides, giant woodland adventure playgrounds, a trike track, farm animals, a musical chicken show, a bee observation hive and more. Head to the courtyard for live music from 1 to 5 p.m. all weekend or visit the restored wine barn where tastings are offered and wine by the glass is available for a fee.

July 4: Red, White and Blue Holiday Zoo

July 4: Captree Fleet fireworks cruise

Choose from a fleet of boats offering fireworks cruises through the scenic New York State Channel to a water view of the sky spectacular. Coffee, cookies and other snacks will be served on the return trip.

July 4: Fireworks at Catholic Health Amphitheater at Bald Hill
The Catholic Health Amphitheater at Bald Hill, 1 Ski Run Lane, Farmingville
Gates open at 5 p.m. Music starts at 5:30 p.m. with a Star-Spangled Bash concert by The Chiclettes and The School of Rock. The synchronized music selection for the Star-Spangled Bash will be simulcast on Big 98.1 FM.

July 4: Capt. Lou Fleet cruise
