Mailbag: Controlling voles

Voles are destroying all of the hosta in my garden. do you know of any way to get rid of them and this problem? -- Jim Pappas

The most effective means of eliminating voles, Jim, is with ordinary mousetraps baited with apple chunks. Place them wherever you see activity. Good luck!
