Mailbag: Moles under the shed

My husband is having a difficult time getting rid of moles under the shed. He is trying real hard not to use poison. He keeps flooding the little holes he sees. But the critters are smart. We need help! Any suggestions? -- Doreen

Hi, Doreen. If you're sure you have moles, the best way to deal with them would be to trap them. Depending on the size of your property, it's possible you only have one mole, as they are loners. Typically there are just two or three to an acre of land. Scissor-jaw and harpoon traps are the best way to end a mole problem. Good luck!
