Mutant tomato in Blue Point!

Jody Banaszak of Blue Point hopes to grow more happy tomatoes, like this one. Credit: Handout
Jody Banaszak of Blue Point sent in this photo of her mutant tomato, above.
She writes, "I can't bring myself to eat it, but maybe when her time is up, I can collect her offspring [seeds] and plant them in my yard and have loads of smiling faces in my gardens next year!"
That sounds like a good idea, Jody.
And if you're looking for friend for your tomato, you might ask Anthony Kamanes Jr., of East Meadow, if he'll let his mutant, below, have a playdate with yours.

Do you have fruit or vegetable that has human or animal qualities? Send them to Garden Detective, and I'll share them here.
