BAUMAN, longtime residents of Great Neck, were wed Dec. 1, 1946. They celebrated with a Caribbean cruise aboard the Queen Mary II. They met at Sydney University in Australia in 1944. Joy was a student and Howard was on leave from the U.S. Army Air Force base in New Guinea. Joy is a retired special-education teacher, and Howard is a retired ad agency executive. They have three children and four grandchildren.

60thJOAN AND MARTY TIMONS of Brentwood were wed April 1, 1952. They celebrated at a restaurant with their children. Marty is a Korean War veteran and retired from Equitable Life Insurance Co. and also the New York State Department of Transportation. Joan worked for Decca Records, then became a homemaker. They have five children, 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

60thTIBBY AND IRA BAREN of Jericho were wed March 22, 1952. The couple met while on vacation with friends in the Berkshires on a July Fourth weekend. Ira worked as a corrugated box salesman, and Tibby worked after all the children were out of junior high school. Both are semiretired.They have three daughters, four grandchildren, one of which is engaged to be married, and one step-grandchild who visits from California.

50thMARGUERITE AND JOHN (JACK) BERNIUS of Hicksville were wed Jan. 6, 1962. A surprise party was held at Paddy's Loft in Massapequa with family and friends. Jack retired from Bankers Trust Co., and Marge is a homemaker. They have three children and two grandchildren.

50thSUE AND JIM FRANZ of Wheatley Heights celebrated by renewing vows on Feb. 3 at 4:30 p.m. --the date and time they were married at Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas. They continued the celebration with dinner at Hugo's Cellar in the Four Queens Hotel in Vegas. Jim is retired from the auto repair shop business in Syosset he owned for more than 25 years. Sue still goes into the city one day a week as a bookkeeper. They have two sons and two grandchildren.
