We'll help you skip this step and bring your pet along for the fun at these Long Island hotels, where Fido is just as welcome as his two-legged brothers and sisters.

The Andrew Hotel

Baron’s Cove

One dog, no more than 50 pounds in weight is permitted; all dogs must be registered in advance. Red Roof Inn

Homewood Suites by Hilton

LOCATIONS: Carle Place, (40 Westbury Ave.; 516-747-0230, homewoodsuites3.hilton.com) and Plainview (1585 Round Swamp Rd.; 516-293-4663, homewoodsuites3.hilton.com) PET RULES: Cats and dogs under 50 pounds are invited to snuggle up at Homewood Suites by Hilton. Two pets are allowed per room. A nonrefundable cleaning fee ($200 Carle Place, $150 Plainview) is required and a $10 cleaning fee is required every day thereafter.

The Inn at Fox Hollow

No other pets are allowed. No animals are allowed in the Royal Suite, no matter how fancy the pooch.

Glen Cove Mansion

Pets are not permitted inside the restaurant or pool area.

Guests staying 1-6 nights must pay a nonrefundable $75 non-refundable fee; guests staying 7-30 nights pay a $100 cleaning fee in addition to the $75 non-refundable fee. A two-dog maximum is permitted; guests planning to stay more than 30 nights should contact the hotel in advance.
