A B.I.G. VIEW

This Water Mill North home is on the market for nearly $11 million -- "and if you don't know, now you know": The 12,000-square-foot contemporary provided a glam backdrop for the 1990 Notorious B.I.G. video for "Juicy." The 1990 video features images of the rapper, who was killed in 1997, and his pals dancing by the uniquely shaped pool, as well as the sweeping views afforded by the home's location at the highest point in the Hamptons.

"The view is the real hook," says Paul Brennan of Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate. "You're looking over hundreds of acres of reserve down to the ocean."

The seven-bedroom house, designed by Japanese artist and architect Setsuo Ito, has been listed on different-sized parcels and with various real estate agencies since it first hit the market in 2007, when it was offered on 15 acres for $30 million. The home has since been remodeled with of-the-moment luxury wish list items such as a Wolf stove, a Sub-Zero refrigerator and wine cooler, and repackaged as a 9-acre estate listed for $10,975,000.

GARDENS, BUT NO GRASS

A 1973 contemporary home in Port Washington, on the market for $995,000, boasts Japanese gardens covering the entire property. Jorge Carias Barrera of J.C. Landscaping in Port Washington designed the 99-by-98-foot parcel without a blade of grass.

The interior of the house was modified with an Asian aesthetic. The master bedroom, which showcases a custom-made, built-in beechwood king-size bed with wall shelving, is separated from the living room by a shoji screen-influenced glass block wall. A small Japanese garden was placed underneath the skylight in the corner of one of the home's 31 / 2 baths.

Other features include three bedrooms, an eat-in kitchen, a granite and beechwood fireplace in the living room, wood floors throughout, an attached, two-car garage plus a backyard deck. It also comes with beach rights.

The listing agents are Julie Safran and Evelyn Strauss of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty and Robert Harding Jr. and Brent Harding of Harding Real Estate Limited. -- VIRGINIA DUNLEAVY
