Long Island Marathon and Half Marathon course map
This course map shows the route for the 2014 Long Island Marathon and Half Marathon.
The Long Island Marathon will take place this Sunday, May 3, and we've got a look at the course.
The 26.2 mile race will begin on Charles Lindbergh Boulevard in Uniondale near Nassau Coliseum. Runners will head west, completing a loop around Nassau County landmarks such as Museum Row and the Mitchel Athletic Complex. They will then head north through Westbury, followed by a long run down Wantagh Parkway. After a turnaround at Sunrise Highway, runners will head back to the finish line at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow.
The half marathon will begin and end at the same places as the marathon, eliminating the long stretch down Wantagh Parkway.
