Recycling: It's in the bag!

British entrepreneur Claire Morsman couldn’t take it anymore!

After seeing countless plastic bags (“urban jellyfish,” she calls them) floating past her houseboat, she realized making reusable cloth bags out of recycled fabric (curtains, duvet covers, clothes) would help diminish the problem. “Only I didn’t know how to sew,” she admits.

She asked “mum” to design a simple bag pattern, made the bag, “realized it was easy, and wanted to share the pattern with everyone,” she says.
