Searching for a spot to hold a holiday party can be harder than it seems. Look for a very good or better restaurant that has the extra space. And book ASAP. Here are three.

This two-level, pan-Asian restaurant housed in a converted bank building offers a dramatic setting with food to match. Kung pao monkfish, shaking beef, dumplings and the top Beijing duck highlight the choices. $$$

Glittery Jewel commands the corner of Route 110 and the south service road of the Long Island Expressway in Rubie Corporate Plaza. It seats close to 250 in various spaces. Some favorites: 5 napkin burger, butter-poached lobster, tuna tartare, cider-braised pork. $$-$$$

It seems as if there's a party underway most nights at City Cellar, the sprawling, brassy "American Modern" restaurant. Hits include lobster sliders and meatball sliders, flatbreads, macaroni and cheese, cavatelli in pork ragù and bananas Foster cream pie. $$-$$$
