Alec Baldwin to host Long Island Hospitality Ball
The Long Island Hospitality Ball celebrates its fifth birthday with a special guest: Alec Baldwin is scheduled to host the gala at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury on June 1.
The annual event is organized by heavy hitters in Long Island’s restaurant and beverage industries to benefit cancer research. This year’s primary beneficiary is the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund Inc., whose eponymous founder is the actor’s mother.
The ball showcases the wares of more than 100 local restaurants, bakeries, caterers and beverage merchants including Barrique Kitchen & Wine Bar, Babylon; BurgerFi; George Martin; H2O: Seafood Grill, Smithtown; Insignia Prime Steak & Sushi, Smithtown; Jewel, Melville; Limani, Roslyn, Old Fields, Greenlawn and Port Jefferson; Pop’s Seafood Shack & Grill, Island Park; Prime: An American Kitchen & Bar, Huntington; The Refuge, Melville; Uncle Bacala’s Italian Seafood, Garden City Park; Vittorio’s Restaurant & Wine Bar, Amityville; Loafers Bakery & Gourmet Shop, Locust Valley; Sweet Karma Desserts, Plainview; Torta Fina, Commack and Babylon; Banfi Vintners.

Baldwin will act as master of ceremonies, bestowing honors on Frank Russo Jr. (Russo's on the Bay/Vetro Restaurant & Wine Bar in Howard Beach), Isaac B. Marten (Atlantic Wine & Spirits). The event will also pay tribute to the late JP Frosina of Empire Merchants, whose family-run medical-research foundation Spirits Up is also a beneficiary.
Last year’s event raised more than $360,000 and was a sellout, with 2,700 people attending.
The ball begins at 7 p.m. and runs til !2:30 a.m.. Advance tickets are $125 per person and include unlimited food and drink.
