Alfredo, a long-time stop for pizza and Italian-American favorites in Westbury, has closed.
The pizzeria and restaurant had been in business since 1962.
Alfredo was known as a late-night stop for a quick slice as well as a casual eatery with hero sandwiches, soups such as minestrone and pasta e fagioli, baked clams, assorted Parmigianas and pastas.
The pasta repertoire included penne alla vodka, lasagna, baked ziti, and, yes, fettuccine all’Alfredo — here served either straight or with chicken.
Alfredo was at 163 Post Ave., Westbury.
