Angelina’s Fireshack & Pizzeria, the quirky pizza-plus spot that opened last year in New Hyde Park, may have been a bit too quirky. It's now closed.
The place was as inventive as it was chaotic. Its departure raises the question: Where, now, does one go for a pizza like the one pictured above, half topped with tandoor-baked chicken, the other half with a “big Mac” burger mélange? Or grilled cranberry-studded duck sausage with hot cherry peppers on a bun?
Any suggestions?
