Bad Dawgs, the grab-and-go hot dog spot in Huntington, is barking up a new tree. Now, burgers (fresh, never frozen, all-beef patties) are on the menu. Same price as the franks; same topping combos, too.
Which means you can have your Chicago style “Bassett hound dog” topping (sport peppers, tomato, raw white onion, a pickle spear, spicy brown mustard and celery salt) over an all-beef, kosher, turkey, organic or vegetarian frank or else heaped onto a burger.
Sides include fries, a potato knish and a baked potato. Nothing in the place costs more than $4.99.
Bad Dawgs is at 44 Gerard St., Huntington, 631-923-1203
