The Wobbly Olive in Hauppauge has had a change of name, chef and concept. Richard Desmond is no longer cooking — or singing — in the kitchen. The place is now known as Barringtons and Anthony Russo, formerly of Collins & Main in Sayville, is its executive chef.
His realm actually encompasses two restaurants under a single roof. The Sapphire Club, situated on one side, is a fine-dining venue whose menu offers such choices as baked Brie ($10), crabmeat crusted sea bass ($30), and rack of lamb ($31).
The rest of the place features a pub-style bill of fare — mozzarella sticks ($6.99), baked clams ($8.99), a burger ($7.99), a marinated steak sandwich ($9.99) and coconut chicken ($13.99).
Barringtons is at 160 Adams Ave., Hauppauge, 631- 951-0026.
