Bay Shore: Going Goth at Tula Kitchen

The darkly atmospheric Tula Kitchen in Bay Shore has gone “classy Goth” for Halloween. On Saturday, Oct. 30, at 10 p.m., the restaurant will stage its fifth annual Halloween party. Admission is $10 at the door.
“We go crazy,” said owner Jackie Sharlup, who is into special effects. That means smoke machines, cauldrons filled with dry ice (so drinks look like witch's brew), a giant headless horseman outside and hanging skeletons and spider webs everywhere.
Light fare (“finger food”) is complimentary; drink specials are not. There will also be a costume contest.
Tula Kitchen is at 41 E. Main St., Bay Shore, 631-539-7183, tulakitchen.com
