The Cortland in Bay Shore

Although The Eatery at Tullulah's in Bay Shore is always putting out an eclectic, ever-changing menu of tapas and desserts, the libations are up to you; it’s a BYOB (bring your own bottle) establishment.

Around the block, The Cortland pub has made a name for itself with an enticing list of locally produced beers and wines – but the food selection is limited to clever snacks, for the place has no kitchen.

The two have brainstormed, however, and in a joint venture will be serving “The Cortland Burger.”

It just so happens that the back doors of the venues face each other, leading them to create this special: just order at Cortland and the staff will literally run over to Tullulah’s, then come back with the burger and serve you at the bar – meaning you can indulge in the clever culinary skill of The Eatery while tugging on the New York-born brew of your choice.

The special is available from 6 to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays for $15. The recipe will change every week and will include variously seasoned fries on the side.

The Eatery at Tullulah's is at 12 Fourth Ave., Bay Shore, 631-206-2988

The Cortland is at 27 W. Main St., Bay Shore, 631-206-2220
