Lunch is now being served at Be-Ju Sashimi & Sake Bar, the Melville restaurant-within-a-restaurant at Jewel by Tom Schaudel.

Although Schaudel launched the high concept sushi spot as a California roll-free zone, he’s is now featuring a California roll ($12) made with king crab, as well as a spicy tuna roll ($10) on the midday roster. “They beat me into submission,” he said. “I had to put rolls on.”

Also on the lunch menu: “Asian penicillin,” or chicken/coconut/green curry/kaffir lime soup, a seaweed soba noodle salad ($10), a 7-piece sushi combination with one roll, soup and salad ($19) and chirashi ($19).

Be-Ju Sashimi & Sake is open for lunch Tuesday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is located inside Jewel By Tom Schaudel at 400 Broad Hollow Rd., Melville, 631-755-0555.
