John J. Tunney III, co-founder of the Besito Restaurant Group, which includes branches in Huntington and Roslyn, will be honored as 2010 Restaurateur of  the  Year at the 19th annual Great Chefs of Long Island 'fest.

The event will be held on Sunday at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

Tunney, grand-nephew of heavyweight boxing champion Gene Tunney, also runs HONU Kichen & Cocktails in Huntington and American Roadside Burgers in Smithtown. Tunney developed Carltun on the Park in Eisenhower Park, East Meadow; and is building BALLO, a restaurant at the Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino in Connecticut.
