Blend is out of the mix in Hauppauge. Opened in 2012 as Blend Wine & Tapas, the Route 347 spot served a roster of small and large plates and shared ownership with Pace’s Steakhouse next door.

Now, the space is undergoing what a spokesman at Pace's called a “conceptual makeover.” Sometime this summer, if all goes as planned, it should reopen as a brick-oven pizzeria with fresh pasta on its menu.
