This weekend, VFW Post 6431 will be engulfed in the sweet smell of barbecue smoke as the 4th annual WilliePallooza gets under way.
The event, named for Long Island’s barbecue champion Will Breakstone (currently the pitmaster at Lily Flanagan’s in Islip) is a two-day affair. On Saturday, there are barbecuing and grilling classes as well as a chili competition. Sunday is judgment: ribs, chicken, pulled pork and brisket. Get all the details at williepallooza.com.
