Brownstones Coffee is now open in West Islip, serving a signature house blend coffee, breakfast all day and lunch.

The 65-seat spot from Manny and Christopher Kourounis is the first Brownstones location to debut after a fire shuttered the original in Amityville. Two more are planned for the new year: an expanded location in Amityville by late February and the third scheduled to open by the end of March in East Northport. The shop hopes to roast its own beans in-house within the year.

The three Brownstones locations reinforce Long Island’s coffee shop boom, which includes the September opening of Crazy Beans in the former Coronet Luncheonette spot in Greenport, Urban Brew’s September debut in Mineola and the opening of Soul Brew in St. James last month. Flux Coffee looks ready to open in Farmingdale any day now.

The breakfast menu at Brownstones features steak and eggs ($13.99), an egg scramble with ham, mini-bagels, potatoes and hollandaise ($9.99), omelettes ($9.99 to $11.99), pancakes ($6.59 to $9.49) and French toast ($8.99 to $9.59). Lunch includes avocado toast, burgers, pastrami, reubens and wraps ($9.99 to $13.99). Espresso is $1.75 while specialty coffee drinks peak at $4. Smoothies, juices and teas are also available.

The kitchen is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The shop closes at 5 p.m. daily.
