Buffet back at Plattduetsche Park in Franklin Square

The popular Thursday-night German buffet resumes tonight at Plattduetsche Park restaurant in Franklin Square.
Cost: $19.95 per person, plus tax, tip and drinks. Reservations are necessary, for either 5 p.m. or 7 p.m. seatings.
The buffet now includes cold cuts and cheeses, Hungarian goulash, potato salad, cabbage salad; a carving station with roasted pork shoulder, loin of pork, roast turkey and Bavarian leberkase; and hot chafing dishes of sauerbraten, stuffed cabbage, schnitzels, potato pancakes and spaetzle. Pretzel rolls, too. The selections will change weekly.
Plattduetsche Park earned a two-star rating in Newsday last year.
