Buongusto
(THIS RESTAURANT HAS CLOSED) Buongusto, a mix of Italian old and new, has become one of the staples of this busy restaurant area. It's a reliable stop for familiar dishes.
Service is friendly and the food frequently is good, even when the dining room is crowded.
Some of the longstanding successes are the red snapper alla Livornese, broiled striped bass, and linguine with white clam sauce.
You could begin contentedly with any of the salads, or with a respectable hot antipasto.
For dessert, they prepare a tasty zabaglione.
The main recommendation here is that simpler is better. Just look around, and you'll see pretty quickly what's popular. One bite, and you'll know why.
